Christmas at Southland

Christmas EveThursday, December 24

O Holy NightAdolphe Adam · tr. John S. Dwight

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,

for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

The story that never changes still changes everything.

Every year, the lights go up, and the noise turns up, making it easy to get buried in a season that feels more produced than personal.

But after centuries of waiting in the dark, Immanuel—God with us—wasn’t just an ancient promise anymore; He showed up to break into our mess and shatter every chain. That’s why we gather: to speak truth unashamedly about who Jesus is, worship defiantly against the darkness, and extend grace generously to a world in need of real hope.

This isn’t a nostalgic memory or a plastic tradition; it’s our reality that God is right here in the thick of it with us, still healing, freeing, and restoring. Come cut through the noise with us this Christmas and hear the angel voices anew for something that actually matters.
